Shelley L. McIntire, LPC

Shelley McIntire is a licensed professional counselor with more than 7 years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Her areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, ADHD, high functioning autism, adjustment issues, parenting challenges, recovery from trauma, pregnancy loss and behavioral and emotional issues in children.

Shelley’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grove City College and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family counseling from Geneva College.

Shelley approaches therapy from a strengths-based, client-centered style that utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman couple’s therapy interventions and play therapy with children. She also provides faith-based therapy with clients who desire this approach.

Shelley resides in the Pittsburgh area, and, in her personal time, enjoys art, reading, and spending time with friends.
