West Central Family and Counseling is now West Central Mental Health
West Central Mental Health was formed as a partnership between two long-standing mental health providers in Massachusetts: West Central Family and Counseling and Northeast Health Services. West Central Family and Counseling has been serving the West Springfield community with high-quality mental health care since 1989 and Northeast Health Services is a well-respected mental health organization that has been caring for clients in eastern Massachusetts since 1998. By coming together as one unified organization, West Central Mental Health is able to expand access to mental health care in the Pioneer Valley. This partnership allows West Central Mental Health to accept most major insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare and expand much-needed services such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
We are committed to making this change as easy as we can for you. The West Central Mental Health team is proud to continue to serve central Massachusetts with quality, easily accessible mental health care. You may see references to Northeast Health Services on paperwork, billing statements, and appointment reminders. You may also interact with Northeast Health Services operational support services such as intake and billing teams. This support from Northeast Health Services will allow your West Central Mental Health team to continue to focus on providing the best mental health care for the community.
It is important to note that this change will not affect the care you receive in any way. There will be no changes to providers or your care team as a result of the name change.
