“I am a clinician at our Sudbury clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client would be a 16-year-old gender-fluid youth presenting with symptoms consistent with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), gender dysphoria, and spiritual/existential distress. They are hoping to address nightmares, intrusive thoughts, and emotional numbing linked to direct or vicarious exposure to war. They also struggle with religious conflict, expressing ambivalence about their faith tradition. While aspects of spirituality are a source of comfort, they report distress around teachings perceived as punitive or exclusionary toward LGBTQIA+ identities. Their spiritual questioning has intensified as they seek meaning after traumatic experiences.

As a therapist certified in EMDR and TF-CBT, I integrate exposure techniques with bilateral stimulation to reprocess each specific trauma, strengthen the adaptive neural network, and help the client reduce somatic responses.”
