My ideal client is someone who needs a listening ear as well as a structured (or unstructured) plan around managing dysfunction and distress in the relational, emotional, and spiritual domains of their lives. They would be open to new ideas and ways of being, willing to look inwards, and motivated to find their strengths amid their difficulties and transform their suffering into healing. They would also be willing to come as they are. I am interested in working with clients of all ages, dispositions, and mental health concerns, whether it is concerning loss and anxiety to difficulties with executive functioning.
It is my utmost priority to build a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship before working any specific modality. I listen, reflect, and seek to understand the client with unconditional positive regard. I utilize a range of modalities, such as CBT, DBT, narrative therapy and IFS. I focus on the person in front of me in the here and now.
I am an avid martial artist, a voracious reader, and a video game enthusiast. I love to listen to folk music and study history. I organize at my local community center and am involved in social justice work to advocate for a brighter future for my family, friends, and clients. A better world is up to us!
