Master of Social Work
I am a clinician at our Dedham clinic who provides therapy services!
I do not feel that I have an ideal client, per-say. The only thing that I would prefer in a client is a willingness to engage in treatment, and a desire to make progress. I have, in the past, had clients who are mandated to be in treatment. And it can be difficult to engage a client who is receiving services against their wishes.
Early in my career I have gained a lot of experience working with individuals in active addiction. These people, generally speaking, have high amounts of trauma, social marginalization, and medical/psychological co-morbidities. These cases are generally quite clinically complex. I think this has given me an ability to work through challenging cases, as well as build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
I have a broad clinical background, and an empathetic presentation to clients. I also have a firm belief that no matter what someone has been through, they can recover.
