I specialize in helping children, adolescents and their families learn how to navigate the difficult moments in life. I have had the privilege of supporting young people with a wide range of presenting problems including anxiety, depression, personality and mood disorders, autism, ADHD, trauma, and DCF involvement. I believe that each individual is the expert in their own experience and that a collaborative approach that is client-centered is the foundation of individual success. I aim to encourage children, adolescents, and their families to find their voice and learn the skills necessary to advocate for their needs.
I draw from a wide variety of therapeutic approaches. While I believe that talk therapy is important, I also include expressive therapy, narrative therapy, and drama therapy into my approach. I believe that when working with children it is important to find ways to make therapy fun to encourage their engagement in the healing process.
I create a therapeutic space that begins with empathy and unconditional positive regard that helps your young person feel seen and heard. My priority is creating a welcoming therapeutic space where your young person feels safe exploring the challenges they are experiencing. Together we will work to build resilience and we will co-create a journey of self-discovery that encourages you to achieve your goals. I view myself as a partner in your journey, and I am honored to be trusted to be part of your story.
