Clinical Mental Health Counselor
I specialize in helping people uncover sources of strength that lead to positive change and healing. I have worked with culturally-diverse individuals experiencing a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, life transitions, and self-esteem and relationship issues. I aim to provide a compassionate and collaborative environment where together, we will work to empower you to live your life in a way that feels healthy and sustainable, however that may look.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. Alongside therapy approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, I enjoy incorporating expressive arts therapy approaches to engage with clients and meet their present needs. Sessions may involve anything from functional strategies to manage difficult feelings and work towards goals, to expressive activities offered to externalize challenges, relieve stress, or have a moment of fun. And, I understand that sometimes what is needed is simply someone to talk to.
I believe that when people feel seen, heard, and accepted, healing is possible. My goal is always to create a safe, flexible space for you to show up as you are, and to be an empathic witness in your self-exploration process. I am here to offer acceptance and support, and am honored to be a part of your journey towards growth, empowerment, and healing.
