Erica DeBartolo, MA

I have worked with clients of various different diagnoses and a wide variety of therapeutic goals. Diagnoses I have worked with include Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and more. My ideal client is someone that is motivated for treatment and is open to self discovery and growth. The needs of my ideal client include support, coping mechanisms, and other tools to help them achieve their full potential.

As a counselor, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. I build rapport and actively listen to my clients to ensure a strong, successful therapeutic relationship. I encourage my clients to share what may be on their mind whenever they feel ready to do so, and provide a space for them to explore their feelings, experiences, and thoughts to an empathetic listener. I utilize a client-centered approach and recognize that each client is an individual with unique needs and goals. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help my client’s manage symptoms and navigate through challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and more. I provide my clients with coping mechanisms and tools that can be used to help manage their symptoms both inside and outside of the office.

I am here to listen and support my clients through whatever challenges they may need support on. I am an advocate for them and I am on their side. My goal for us is to establish a trusting therapeutic alliance and provide a safe space for them to open up and share what is on their mind without having to worry about being judged. I want my clients to know that I genuinely care and that their voices, feelings, and experiences matter.
