Clinical Mental Health Counselor
I am a clinician at our Boston – South End clinic who provides therapy services!
I am happy to work with clients who experience anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, OCD, eating disorders, and/or those who deal with daily stressors. I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ populations and supporting every aspect of my client’s identities, especially those who are transitioning to adulthood. I will gladly work with clients who are interested in art therapy to find relief from symptoms, self-soothe, process trauma or challenging experiences, or try a new approach to therapy.
As an art therapist-in-training, I can offer services that promote creativity and self-expression alongside the healing work of standard psychotherapy. The expressive therapies offer a new way to access and understand emotions, while promoting safety and well-being. I use art therapy with a trauma-informed lens to support the development of identities, manage stress or anxiety, and encourage self exploration.
My favorite classes in high school were art and psychology. They were always separate, but when I stumbled into the field of expressive therapies as while college-hunting, I immediately knew this was what I wanted to do. I have spent the last 6 years studying art therapy and mental health counseling. I enjoyed interning at an eating disorder program with young adults and seeing how visual art provided relief, insight, and hope. The most important thing to remember about art therapy is that it is for everyone. Let’s get to work!
