Intern
Hi, I’m Emily. I offer therapy services at our Taunton, MA clinic.
I am currently in school to obtain my Masters degree in forensic psychology and pass my licensure exam to be a counselor! I have worked in various hospital settings for mental health such as Acute Crisis Stabilization Units and psychiatric hospitals. I have worked with clients ages 6-70 as well as a variety of diagnoses. I have mainly worked doing group therapy sessions, but I am excited to do individual therapy!
I hope to create a safe and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable opening up about what they are going through and expressing their emotions truthfully. While I am new want to create an environment where clients feel they can say what’s on their mind and not have to worry about judgment or negative opinions.
As someone who has always been called sensitive, I feel that it is important to allow ourselves to feel the way we feel. I always say that it’s okay to cry because it means that we are aware of our feelings and emotions and I want my clients to know that processing emotions can look differently for everyone. I want to be a listening ear to those who need it!
