Clinical Master Social Worker Candidate

I am a clinician at our Newton clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal candidate is a person in younger or older adulthood looking for social connection. They may feel lonely or disconnected from the rest of the world and need some help broadening their circles. Their goals (both young and old) would be to join some sort of group/club, and I would act as a trusted other during their process of increased social interaction. They may be experiencing a crisis due to life changes and transitions.

I have been trained in the empowerment model, while working on a sexual support and advocacy hotline. I am an active listener and I am able to tailor my sessions to what the client wants–whether it be solutions or a listening ear. I am familiar with CBT models and have used various techniques during my school social work internship to help elementary students reshape their ways of thinking.
