Courtney Bezanson, M.Ed, MHC

Mental Health Counselor

I am a clinician at our Lowell clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client is an adult seeking support in understanding their current emotional experiences, relational patterns, or life circumstances with the goal of creating lasting, positive change. They may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, or stress related to life transitions, identity shifts, or unresolved past experiences. While they may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain, they are open to engaging in a reflective, therapeutic process.

This client values a space where they can slow down, explore what they’re feeling, and begin to make sense of how past experiences may be impacting their present. They may be noticing patterns in their relationships, difficulties with emotional regulation, or a persistent sense of disconnection from themselves or others. They are curious about how to live with more clarity, self-awareness, and emotional steadiness, even if they aren’t quite sure how to get there yet.

Clients I work best with are not necessarily looking for quick solutions but are motivated to better understand themselves and build skills for sustainable change. They are open to exploring the ways their thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs have been shaped over time, and are willing to engage in insight-oriented work that supports both healing and growth.

I welcome adult clients of all ages, from young adults navigating early adulthood to individuals in later life seeking peace, integration, or renewed purpose. Regardless of age, my ideal client is someone who values therapy as a collaborative process and is willing to show up with honesty, even when the work feels challenging.

Together, we work to build a safe and supportive relationship where insight, self-compassion, and meaningful change can take root.

As a mental health clinician, I offer a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change. My approach is rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience—sometimes we just need the right environment and guidance to access it.

I specialize in helping individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship stress, low self-worth, and unresolved emotional pain. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day challenges or seeking deeper understanding of longstanding patterns, our work together can help you build clarity, emotional regulation, and confidence in your ability to cope and thrive.

My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches provide practical tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also encouraging acceptance, mindfulness, and values-based living.

At the core of my work is a person-centered philosophy—meaning I see you as the expert of your own experience. I will meet you with warmth, respect, and genuine curiosity, and together we’ll create a space where your goals, identity, and lived experience guide the path forward. I aim to help you reconnect with your strengths, develop greater self-compassion, and make choices that reflect who you truly are.

Whether you’re just beginning therapy or returning after time away, I’m here to support you in feeling more grounded, understood, and empowered in your life.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that you’re not alone in that. It takes courage to reach out, and I deeply respect the strength it takes to begin—or begin again.

What matters most to me in this work is the relationship we build together. I believe that healing happens through connection, and I don’t take it lightly that you may be sharing parts of your life that feel painful, confusing, or hidden. I genuinely care about the well-being of my clients, and I’m fully present with you as you navigate whatever you’re carrying—at your own pace, and in your own way.

You won’t be met with judgment or pressure, but with curiosity, compassion, and support. I will listen closely, reflect honestly, and walk alongside you as you explore what’s not working, what you long for, and what’s possible.

Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about creating space for you to better understand yourself, reconnect with your values, and feel more grounded in your choices and relationships. I see each client as whole and capable, even in the midst of struggle.

If you’re feeling unsure about the next step or whether therapy is the right fit, that’s okay. You’re welcome to reach out and we can talk more about what you’re hoping for and how I might support you. No pressure—just a conversation.

I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
