Ciana Chambers, MA, MHC

Mental Health Counselor

I am a clinician at our Boston – Government Center clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client is a thoughtful, resilient individual—often a BIPOC teen or young adult—who’s been carrying a lot on their shoulders. They may be navigating the effects of trauma, high stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves and their loved ones.

They’re looking for a space where they can feel safe, heard, and supported without judgment. Their needs often include help managing anxiety, processing difficult experiences, and making sense of who they are outside of survival mode.

Their goals tend to center around healing from past wounds, developing self-awareness, and building a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling. What they truly want is to feel more grounded, empowered, and free to show up as their full selves—without having to shrink or overthink.

They come to therapy not just to feel better, but to break cycles, gain clarity, and create lasting change for themselves and those around them.

As a therapist, I specialize in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care—especially for BIPOC youth and young adults who are navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and the impact of complex trauma. I understand that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, so I offer a collaborative and compassionate approach that meets each client where they are.

My work weaves together traditional talk therapy with creative and holistic practices like expressive arts, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. I help clients not only process what they’ve been through, but reconnect with parts of themselves that have been silenced or overlooked. I have done this through one-on-one therapy, community workshops, or mentorship, I hold space for folks to feel seen, validated, and empowered.

What I offer is more than just coping tools—it’s a space to explore, grow, and begin writing a new narrative rooted in healing, self-compassion, and cultural pride. My goal is to support clients in moving from survival to thriving, and to do so in a way that honors who they are and where they come from.

I want my clients to know that healing doesn’t have to look perfect—and you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. I deeply understand how hard it can be to ask for help, especially when you’ve been taught to hold it all together. I’m not here to fix you, because you’re not broken. I’m here to walk with you through the hard stuff, to hold space for your full story, and to remind you that you’re not alone.

My approach is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a genuine belief in your capacity to heal. I value authenticity, humor, and real connection. Therapy with me is a space where you can exhale, explore at your own pace, and begin to reconnect with the parts of yourself that deserve care.
