Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern
My ideal client struggles with anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation. They may experience persistent worry, self-doubt, or difficulty coping with stress, which affects their daily life and relationships. They need a safe, supportive space to explore their emotions and develop healthier coping strategies. Together we will create goals and build plans for the moments they are outside of my space to thrive and move forward. I’m passionate about helping them navigate these challenges and foster lasting mental well-being.
I will use Cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients challenge negative thoughts, develop healthier beliefs, and use behavioral strategies to manage anxiety. Rational behavioral theory will guide them in identifying irrational beliefs and replacing them with rational, constructive thinking. Through talk therapy, I will provide a safe space for them to express emotions, gain insight, and build coping skills. By combining these approaches, I aim to empower clients to reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, and develop lasting emotional resilience.
Some information about me! I am a graduate student from Southern New Hampshire University, currently enrolled in their Mental Health Counseling Program! I’ve enjoyed working with children as I was a Teacher assistant in a middle school for 3 years in their special education program. That job made me realize how important connection is at such a young age and how much I love being able to support kids in such a turbulent time in their lives! Some fun things outside of work I enjoy are spend a lot of time with my dogs, family, and friends! I love watching reality and crime TV shows and spending time on the beach! I’m a big advocate for napping and self-care!
