Assistant Clinic Director
I graduated from Boston College Graduate School of Social work in 2016 with a focus on Clinical Mental Health and obtained a Certificate in Trauma. In 2018, I received a postgraduate fellowship certificate in psychoanalysis from the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. I am currently a Ph.D. student at Sacred Heart University School of Social work, focusing my research on the causes and diagnosis of Schizophrenia in young adults. I am currently the Assistant Clinic Director for Cape Behavioral Health Center in Orleans, MA.
Since 2016, I have worked in a multitude of settings that include afterschool programs for at-risk youth, adolescent residential and CBAT/inpatient programs, Intensive Group Living Environments for adults with Schizophrenia and, for the last 5 years, an outpatient mental health therapist, clinical supervisor, and Assistant Clinic Director. Since graduate school started in 2014, I now have about 10 years of clinical experience and specialize in trauma, utilizing elements of psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectal behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems and motivational interviewing; to name a few modalities. I use a client-centered approach focused on building self-compassion, building resiliency and increasing awareness while providing a safe place for all persons to discuss difficult topics. I am also highly focused on building a strong therapeutic rapport with every client and believe and practice meeting clients where they are at. I am humbly here for you on your journey and look forward to working with you reach recovery of your struggles and live the best life that you can. I will also collaborate with you on your treatment plan.
The population I serve ages from adolescents to older adults, specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I have worked with many families as well and may connect you to additional resources in the community if you need so that you receive the best care possible. I use evidence-based practice and practice-informed research catered to your specific needs, having an unconditional positive regard for every client I work with.
