I like working with young adults or adults seeking an empathic listener who is able to relate to the everyday challenges of life. They may be struggling with ongoing stress, work or relationship strain, depression, anxiety, matters of identity / purpose, etc. They may be looking to find others who struggle in similar ways, to know they are not alone, or seeking a provider who is able to help brainstorm practical, achievable steps towards making change or finding solutions. LGBTQ+ affirming.
I became a Social Worker because I believe in the power of humanity; when we seek to support one another and celebrate in the accomplishments of those around us, we are given the chance to bring a bit of light to a world which is otherwise dark, lonely, and overwhelming. None of us have all the answers, but we do have the power of compassion.
