Cassandra Hurley, MSW, LCSW

I started in the field working with teens who had experienced significant trauma. As I took on new roles at different agencies, I expanded to working 1:1 with children, teens, and young adults to develop independence and self identity within the community. I also provided support and advocacy work for children, teens, and young adults within their families. I also have experience working with those with disabilities, providing psychoeducation on accessibility rights, and supporting young clients in taking the steps to create a life they want to live despite their diagnosis. At this time, I am comfortable working with those on the autism spectrum, cognitive disabilities, all ages, all diagnosis.

I am very open minded and want to support the people I work with with achieving their own goals. I prioritize rapport building and will meet the client where they’re at whether that be playing games or delving into trauma. I am certainly not perfect nor do I expect anyone to be; it is all about having an open mind and to use moments as learning opportunities. Outside of work, I greatly enjoy music, video games, spending time with my family, and documenting the hilarious antics of my cat.
