Vick Auger, MA

My ideal client is someone who is ready to engage in the therapeutic process and is open to exploring their emotions and experiences. They may be part of the LGBTQ+ community, dealing with issues related to identity, acceptance, or relationship challenges. They might be struggling with suicidal thoughts or behaviors, seeking a compassionate and non-judgmental space to find hope and resilience. Additionally, they could be facing addiction, looking for support in their journey toward recovery. No matter their background or struggles, my ideal client is someone who is seeking growth, healing, and a more fulfilling life.

I specialize in working the LGBTQ+ community, suicidality, and addiction, providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. My approach to therapy is client-centered, primarily focusing on building a relationship between myself and the client in order to create a positive therapeutic environment. I tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am dedicated to creating an affirming environment for LGBTQ+ clients and am training in culturally competent care. My work with clients facing suicidality and addiction is grounded in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a commitment to their recovery and well-being.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops and going on adventures with my family. I am passionate about mental health advocacy, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community, as I identify as queer and non-binary. I also live with my own mental health challenges, which has given me a deeper understanding and empathy for my clients’ experiences. This personal journey has made a me a better therapist, as I can relate to the struggles of mental health and the courage it takes to seek help.
