Mental Health Counselor

I am a clinician at our Chelsea clinic who provides therapy services!

I aim to help clients who struggle with finding their purpose, esteem and motivation to pursue the things in their life that make them happy and fulfilled, while navigating the challenges of life. Some of the issues that I focus on are panic attacks, self-esteem, life transitions, grief, body issues, work life balance, negative self-talk, trauma, racing thoughts, sleep disturbances, interpersonal conflicts with others, sensory and self-care.

My mental lens for mental health counseling focuses on anxiety, depression, adhd, substance use, OCD and PTSD. In addition to my current lens, I have a background in Mental Health Occupational Therapy working with teenagers, adults, and older adults on a wide variety of mental health issues and concerns. My philosophy for treatment is through the lens of cognitive behavioral theory and helping individuals better understand the connection between how their emotions and feelings connect to their behavior and actions. I empower individuals to be their best and get the most from treatment and believe in the resilience and strength of clients. I strive to develop a safe, welcoming, and encouraging space for clients to be themselves throughout their therapeutic journey.

The therapeutic rapport between the client and the therapist is essential. My role as the therapist is to support the client through their journey while establishing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. My role is to facilitate client growth and development in ways that foster the interest of the client to promote healthy habits, engagement, self-exploration, interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, curiosity and most importantly fulfillment and happiness in daily living. My primary responsibility as a therapist is to respect the dignity and promote the welfare of the client. Through joint efforts, the therapist and the client will work together in devising counseling plans, goals and identifying the course of treatment. As the therapist, I will collaborate with the client to establish meaningful goals to ensure that the therapeutic process is both beneficial and successful. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
