Savanna Maloy, MSW

Social Worker

Hello, my name is Savanna Maloy, and I am a therapist here at our Newton clinic. I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work, and will soon be licensed as an LCSW in the state of Massachusetts. I have experience working with adults, teens, and children. My goal as a therapist is to use a trauma-informed approach as I create a welcoming, collaborative environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your concerns and discovering new ways of understanding yourself. I also aim to hold a safe and welcoming space for clients of all backgrounds and orientations, and consider myself to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.

I have experience working with those who have experienced trauma, loss, life stress, life transitions, and more. I typically use multiple modalities in my approach, such as CBT, DBT, SFT, Art therapy, ACT, Grief Techniques, and the Gottman Method. My approach is also collaborative, as I want you to feel empowered in this process.

Reaching out for therapy can be a vulnerable process, especially when you are not sure what to expect or what you need. I hope to be a support to you during this process as you navigate this time of your life. I want to support you in healing, and I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you on this journey.
