Master of Social Work

I am a clinician at our Dedham, MA clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client is someone dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, or just feeling overwhelmed by all of life’s responsibilities. They might struggle with procrastination or avoiding important tasks because it feels like too much to handle. They want to feel more in control, and they need help managing stress and building confidence. I would help them by using CBT to identify and challenge the negative thoughts that keep them stuck, like “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t do this.” I’d teach them practical skills for managing anxiety, like breathing exercises or grounding techniques, so they can stay calm in tough moments. We’d also work on breaking down big tasks into smaller steps to help them stop procrastinating, while also celebrating their progress along the way. I’d focus on helping them build emotional regulation skills, like practicing self-compassion and learning to manage stress in healthier ways. Ultimately, they’d leave therapy with tools they can use long after we finish, helping them feel more confident and ready to face whatever challenges come next.

I would help my ideal client by focusing on the things that really matter to them, like managing their anxiety, building confidence, and staying on top of responsibilities. For anxiety and low self-esteem, I’d use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge those negative thoughts and replace them with healthier, more realistic ones. I’d teach them relaxation techniques, like breathing exercises, so they can manage anxiety in the moment. For procrastination and feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities, I’d break tasks down into smaller, manageable steps, and help them create a system to stay organized. I’d encourage them to set small goals and reward themselves when they make progress, which would give them more motivation and confidence. We’d work together to build emotional regulation skills, teaching them self-compassion and stress management techniques so they can stay calm when things feel out of control. Overall, I’d make sure they feel supported while learning skills they can use long after therapy ends — skills that will help them not just cope, but really thrive.
