Mental Health Counselor
Hello, my name is Safah. I provide therapy services at our Kendall Square clinic.
I have two master’s Counseling and Child Study and Human Development. I have prior experience working with young adults and women of color in a Partial Hospitalization Program setting. As a South Asian therapist, I understand the importance of culture, identity, and belonging. I strive to create a warm, inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly people of color, helping them build coping skills, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.
Together, we can build a trusting space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions. Using art therapy, emotion-focused activities, and DBT techniques, we can strengthen coping skills and distress tolerance. I provide a culturally responsive environment where you can explore identity, belonging, and personal growth.
I believe it’s important to recognize both your challenges and your strengths, and to support you in becoming the best version of yourself. Opening up about your thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences can be a difficult and vulnerable process. Together, we can create a supportive space to explore the next meaningful steps towards growth.
