Mental Health Counselor
I am a clinician at our Attleboro clinic who provides therapy services!
My ideal client is someone within the LGBTQIA+ community who may be navigating a range of intersecting challenges — such as identity exploration, coming out, family rejection, internalized shame, relationship difficulties, minority stress, or experiences of discrimination and trauma. They might present with symptoms of anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, or chronic self-doubt, often intensified by a lack of validation in their environment. This client needs a safe, affirming, and culturally competent space where their identity is not only respected but celebrated. They may be seeking clarity about their gender identity or sexual orientation, or working to heal from past invalidation or abuse. They benefit from support in developing coping tools, strengthening self-advocacy, and building resilience in the face of systemic and interpersonal challenges.
Additionally, my ideal client is someone who is struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, suicidality, and difficulties in maintaining healthy relationships. They may experience symptoms such as overthinking, social withdrawal, perfectionism, or emotional dysregulation. Often, these challenges are rooted in past trauma, attachment wounds, or chronic stress. This client needs a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment where they can explore their emotions, identify harmful thought patterns, and begin to understand the underlying causes of their distress. They benefit from structure, consistency, and tools to help regulate their emotions and build healthier coping mechanisms.
I specialize in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in understanding and managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These modalities are highly effective for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, trauma responses, and difficulties in relationships.
With CBT, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and core beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. Through this structured, goal-oriented process, clients gain practical tools to manage anxiety, build confidence, and shift negative thinking patterns in everyday life.
With DBT, I work with clients to build skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This approach is especially helpful for individuals who experience intense emotions, struggle with impulsivity, or have difficulty navigating complex relationship dynamics.
Whether you’re looking to build emotional resilience, better manage daily stressors, or make lasting behavioral change, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible when we combine insight with action. LGBTQIA+ identities are seen, respected, and celebrated. Whether you’re exploring your gender or sexuality, navigating coming out, healing from past harm, or simply seeking to thrive in a world that doesn’t always make space for difference — therapy with me offers a safe, affirming, and skills-focused environment where you can grow at your own pace.
I want you to know that therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to hide, explain, or shrink yourself. I bring deep empathy, curiosity, and care into every session — along with a commitment to honoring your unique lived experience. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just ready for change, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I understand how vulnerable it can be to reach out, especially if you’ve been met with judgment or misunderstanding in the past. My goal is to offer a safe, affirming, and grounded space where you feel heard, seen, and supported as your full self.
If you’re considering therapy, I encourage you to reach out. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you explore your story, build emotional strength, and move toward the life you want to create.
