Michelle Harper, CMHC

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I am an intern at our Orleans clinic who provides therapy services!

My ideal client is someone navigating life transitions, managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, exploring questions of identity and self-worth, or processing grief and loss. Life changes may result in feelings of emotional overwhelm and negative impacts on daily functioning, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is to support clients who come to therapy seeking tools to manage these unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and to help them explore deeper questions around identity and meaning – ultimately, fostering a more authentic connection to themselves and to others.

I have a strong foundation in trauma-informed, client-centered care. My clinical experience includes crisis counseling for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and abuse, as well as career and academic counseling for law students navigating high-pressure environments and personal transitions.

I am passionate about supporting my clients through periods of change and uncertainty with empathy, curiosity, and care. I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative therapeutic space that honors each client’s unique experiences, values, and voice. I am deeply committed to fostering therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, mutual respect, and authenticity.
