I am a provider at our Lawrence clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. My ideal clients are adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress/ burnout, life transitions, and relationship issues. I enjoy working with people of varying backgrounds and experiences, including significant mental health stressors. I utilize my previous professional experiences in a women’s shelter program to normalize the importance of mental health in women’s lives.
I work with my clients to help them learn the “why” behind their experiences, connect past experiences to the present, and find symptom relief through understanding, awareness, and behavior change. This can be achieved through identifying and processing complex emotions, experiences, and challenges, increasing coping skills, setting goals for personal growth, increasing self-confidence, and doing the work of healing. I bring compassion as well as empowerment to my work, and I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can be vulnerable, open, and expressive. It’s my hope that clients can develop a sense of curiosity about their lives that they can explore safely from within the therapeutic relationship.
I am passionate about therapy and am interested in the process of finding a unique path toward positive change with each client. We all struggle sometimes, and during those times, we can all use a helping hand. Whether it is related to relationship issues, life stressors, trauma history (etc.), anyone can experience a mental disturbance at some point in their lives. It’s my belief that with a little bit of help and guidance, everyone can achieve confidence, balance, fulfillment, and understanding.
