Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern
I am an Intern at our Attleboro clinic who provides therapy services!
It is hard to say who my ideal client is, as I have not yet seen my first client. I suppose ideally this would be someone who is willing to work towards building a trusting relationship with me, so that we can work together to meet their needs and goals.
I believe my art training taught me how to observe and listen carefully to the world around me, which offers me an invaluable entry point into the complexities of the therapy space. I love working with people, and find purpose in my helping roles. Whether it is helping someone see all the tools they have to accomplish something new, or helping someone realize how much they have accomplished already, I love an opportunity to empower those around me.
My birth support doula training gave me invaluable tools for understanding how to provide high standards of care centered on the needs of black, queer, and disabled community members. I am in awe of how good mental health care can turn someone’s vulnerabilities into strengths. I am eager to learn more about how to provide mental health care that uplifts my community and the communities around me.
