Kate Tyburc, MSW

Master’s Social Worker

Hello, I am Kate, and I offer therapy services at our Salem clinic.

I am a licensed social worker (LSW) with a master’s degree from Salem State University, pre-licensed LCSW. I have 14 years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury, and traumatic brain injury, providing both individual and group therapy. I also have experience working with children, families, and individuals who require life-sustaining treatment.

My approach is strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I strongly believe in a person’s ability to grow, and I focus on empowerment, self-efficacy, and self-determination of clients. Together we will collaborate on what works best for you.

Everyone has their own unique story, which can foster strength and resilience. I am dedicated to understanding each client’s specific needs and ensuring that interventions meet those needs. I firmly believe in the importance of creating a safe and trusting space as well as respecting the value in knowing that each client is the expert of their life.
