Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Hello, and welcome. My name is Johany, and I provide therapy services at our Salem, MA clinic.

I am a mental health counselor with over six years of experience working with adolescents, children, and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, addiction, and emotional dysregulation. I graduated from Lesley University with a degree in counseling and a specialization in trauma studies.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and personalized. I believe that every individual’s story, experiences, and needs are unique. I use several evidence-based approaches, including MI, CBT, DBT, TCI, and Holistic practices. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor treatment to support each client’s personal goals, strengths, and challenges.

I strive to meet clients where they are emotionally and psychologically, while creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. Together, we work to build awareness and understanding of how past experiences, relationships and patterns may have shaped the person you are today.
