Hi! I’m Emily DiPalma, a Master’s Level Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor (CIEC) at our Fall River clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. I specialize in providing support to individuals, couples, and families navigating challenging relational stressors, eating disorders/disordered eating, grief and loss, and the complexities of medical trauma/anxiety as well as terminal and chronic illnesses.
I bring a unique approach to therapy, blending evidence-based techniques with a touch of humor. Laughter is a powerful tool that can help create a safe and comfortable space for exploration and growth. By incorporating humor into our sessions, we’ll not only tackle challenges head-on but also find moments of levity and joy along the way. Together, we’ll create an environment where insight, transformation, and laughter coexist.
Emily was born and raised in New England and earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Neuroscience and a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. In addition to working with clients, Emily is also adjunct faculty at Johnson & Wales, the University of Rhode Island, and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with friends.
Therapeutic Approaches: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and an Intuitive Eating approach.
