Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I love working with perinatal clients- pregnancy through early family life. Challenges in family dynamics, identities in becoming a parent, etc. I also really like working with clients who have experienced trauma using EMDR. I am interested in working with geriatrics, although don’t have clinical experience with this population.
I take a person-centered, psychodynamic approach in therapy. I completed my Master’s in Mindfulness-Based Counseling at Naropa University and specialize in perinatal counseling and EMDR for trauma. My experience in behavioral health settings with children, adolescents, and adults has given me a strong foundation of wisdom to draw from. My clinical focus is on helping clients build adaptive and social-emotional skills through a goal-oriented lens. I strive to create an empathetic, clarity-oriented, and welcoming space where unconditional acceptance and positive change can flourish.
I have a deep reverence for the wisdom and challenges inherent in the human experience. I have a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and more fully experience a centered, contented, and calm sense of being. I have a strong belief in the unconditional potential of every person, and this belief forms the foundation for my counseling orientation and practice.
My commitment to self-care includes: conscious movement and exercise, spending time outside, cooking healthy meals, reading novels, surfing, and gardening.
