DeLisa Burns Boyd, MSW

An ideal adolescent client in social work diagnosed with anxiety may face issues such as excessive worry, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, and physical symptoms like headaches or stomachaches. Their needs include a safe and supportive environment, access to mental health resources, coping strategies, and emotional support. Their goals may involve reducing anxiety symptoms, improving academic performance, and building self-esteem. They want to achieve these goals to enhance their overall well-being, gain a sense of control over their anxiety, and improve their social and academic functioning.

With my clinical expertise, I can offer:

  • Assessment: Identify anxiety triggers and severity.
  • Therapy: Provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Coping Skills: Teach relaxation and stress management.
  • Support: Offer a safe, non-judgmental space.
  • Resource Connection: Link to support groups and activities.
  • Family Involvement: Educate and engage family.
  • Academic Support: Collaborate with schools for accommodations.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Adjust treatment as needed.

As a clinical social worker and Mental Health Clinician, I want clients to know that I am dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I use evidence-based practices to help manage anxiety and other mental health issues. I am committed to collaborating with clients to empower them, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals while building inner wealth.
