Catherine Carter, MS

Mental Health Counselor

I am a clinician at the Boston, Government Center Clinic providing therapy services. My background in mental health and co-occurring disorders is well rounded, provided services to all ages (adolescences-older adults). Knowledgeable about systemic barriers as I’ve been honored to provide person-centered care in various inpatient, outpatient and community base settings. My goal is to provide a safe therapeutic environment built on trust, respect, and humility. Taken into account how our own intersectionalities impact our mental health. I am passionate about making sure my client’s voice is heard and ultimately feeling understood.

Among our time together, we are going to navigate through life challenges. Practiced through Integrative Therapy to ensure each and every client can collaboratively create their own blueprint within sessions. Interventions consist of utilizing Psychodynamic, Narrative therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

It takes courage to seek help during difficult times. I cherish a popular saying “a moment is not a lifetime” and would be honored to be there for you in a time of need. It is a pleasure to watch you flourish and reach milestones towards your journey of wellness. As I’m the passenger during your journey, I truly need you to know your amazing inside and out.
