I work with clients throughout the lifespan on issues such as (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. I work collaboratively with clients to establish treatment goals and honor the client’s identified needs. I am strengths-based and will encourage clients to acknowledge and celebrate their strengths! I want to support clients as they process and heal from traumatic experiences, navigate challenging relationships, and “come back home to themselves.”
First and foremost, I am person-centered and believe clients are the experts on their own stories. I can help by working as a team with the client to create individualized counseling goals that we will work on together over time. I believe in the power of creative art therapy techniques to help clients tell their stories. I can also offer a more concrete Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. I enjoy working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD and I am a neurodiversity-affirming clinician. This means I operate with a strengths-based approach toward neurodiversity and will be glad to adapt my communication style and interventions to the client’s needs. I specialize in working with clients healing from trauma and offer psychoeducation on how trauma impacts the brain and what we can do to process, create new pathways, and move forward in a healthy way. I have lots of experience with teens and embrace the unique strengths and challenges during this stage of development. I love working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other community partners to support young people.
My office is a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space. I am excited to meet you where you are and partner with you to figure out where you want to go from there. I am open-minded, flexible, and curious. Seeking help is not easy and I wholeheartedly appreciate your bravery in taking a step toward counseling.
