Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hello, I’m Valerie Rivera Santiago a licensed clinical social worker at our Fitchburg clinic with more than 20 years of expertise. I have work with a variety of populations from different cultural backgrounds. Including HIV patients, substance use patient homeless, children, families, adults in residential, programs and outpatient settings. My goal is to welcome you to a space. In which you feel supported, empowered, accepted, understood and feel respected. I use a strength based and person centered approach base in empathy. In our worked together you will find an environment that promotes feelings or value and safety.

Together, we will create a space in which you will be able to explore and process your emotions safely. Using techniques like unconditional positive regards techniques, motivational interview, effective communication and other coping skills or tools that can help you develop the strengths you need to face life challenges.

I believe that treating people with respect and dignity open the door to build a positive therapeutic relationship. In which your feel welcome and accepted. Is not always easy to speak about what is in our hearts or mind. Just know that know that I am here to be a companion on your journey to wellness.
