Masters of Social Work

Hello all! My name is Rachel McGovern, I am a Masters of Social Work graduate working with Northeast Health Services – Watertown. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults in both a school and outpatient setting. My goal is to create a warm and comfortable space for us to be able to work through any challenges together. In my practice, I use a strengths-based, person-centered approach to explore anxieties, mental health challenges, and identity-related concerns. In our work together, I promise to work collaborate with you to make sure you are heard and valued as we explore your emotions and day-to-day challenges.

Together, we can create a thoughtful and collaborative environment to build the skills necessary to work through any challenges you may be facing. Using techniques such as expressive arts, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, we can build on your strengths to enhance valuable coping and communication skills.

I recognize that it is an extremely difficult process to reach out for help when you are in a low place, and I want you to recognize the strength that it takes to do so. I would be honored to help you to navigate the path forward so that you can continue to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I would love to hear your story.
