Lauren Kaufmann, BS, Intern

Intern

Hi! My name is Lauren, I am currently a grad student interning with NEHS in Newton, MA. Most of my clinical experience comes from the inpatient level, where I worked primarily with children experiencing severe eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. In this experience I have learned a lot about eating disorders, but also been able to learn about anxiety disorders, trauma, compulsive behavior, body image, personality disorders, and other struggles that often come alongside disordered eating.

My hope is that together we can foster a space that makes you feel heard and empowered to take charge of your mental health journey. I believe very strongly in using therapy as a space to get to know yourself better, and I want to work to create a space that feels safe enough to do so.

Stepping into a therapist’s office for the first time can be nerve wracking. I want you to know that I will do whatever I can to make that space warm, safe, and comfortable for you. Treatment is collaborative, and what matters to you is important to me. I look forward to working with you as you take another step in your mental health journey.
