Mental Health Counselor
Hello, I’m John Barron, a Master’s-level Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counselor.
I provide therapy services at our Kendall Square clinic. My experience consists of working with children, adolescents, and adults primarily in hospital settings to navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and psychiatric or developmental disabilities.
My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based techniques to help clients identify values, develop practical skills, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and overcome obstacles. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we will identify your strengths and address challenges to support your growth.
I believe we can work together to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the challenges of living with psychiatric or developmental disabilities. Using CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and existentialism, I provide practical tools and support to help clients build resilience, improve well-being, and create meaningful change.
Reaching out for support is a courageous first step. I believe every person has unique strengths, and you can build on those strengths to move toward the life you want. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and equipped to create the life you want. I look forward to walking with you every step of the way.
