Intern

Hello! I’m Grace LaPlante, a Master’s of Social Work (MSW) student intern here at Brockton. Previously I have worked with children, teenagers, young adults, and adults of all ages in various locations such as schools, an access center, and a counseling helpline. My goal is to meet you wherever you are and work together from there. In my practice, I lead with empathy, humility, and passion. I value utilizing a person-centered approach when navigating all of life’s challenges to allow for a supportive, nonjudgemental space.

I believe in fostering an environment where it feels safe to show up as you are and navigate your feelings. Employing cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, I can help you to identify negative thought patterns and turn them into more balanced ways of thinking as well as learn to navigate crises, manage emotions, and engage with coping skills.

I recognize that looking into counseling services can be a challenging and daunting experience, but by doing that you are giving yourself a chance to invite a new chapter of wellness into your life. I want to hear your story and see how I can be of service to you in your future success. I warmly invite you to reach out so we can get started on your journey.
