Brenda Kay is a counseling intern with Northeast Health Services – Framingham and a graduate student in the Master’s in Mental Health Counseling program at Framingham State University, where she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Art. With experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through her internships with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, Brenda draws deeply from her 25 years as a hairdresser, where she built trust and connection across life’s stages. This journey inspires her compassionate, client-centered approach.
Brenda helps clients build resilience, manage stress, and navigate life transitions. She uses a collaborative, client-centered approach, integrating holistic and expressive techniques to help you develop insight, coping skills, and a greater sense of balance in daily life.
Brenda believes every person’s story deserves to be met with empathy, respect, and care. She understands that reaching out for support can feel intimidating and strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being themselves.
