Intern

My name is April Salter. I am an Intern at our Auburn clinic.

I am a second-year graduate student in clinical mental health counseling. I work with clients of all backgrounds, and I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you in your journey toward mental wellness.

I believe in a compassionate, client-centered approach. I strive to create a supportive space where you will feel heard and understood. I am interested in humanistic perspectives, CBT, and expressive arts therapies, while expanding my scope of practice. I appreciate working collaboratively while remaining open to each person’s individual needs and goals.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel vulnerable. Every individual’s approach to counseling is unique, with their own needs and perspectives. I hope to tailor my practice to your needs and to create a space that invites you to show up as yourself. I will bring openness, curiosity, and compassion as we work together toward your well-being.
