Abby Crum, MA, MHC

Mental Health Counselor

Hello! I’m Abby Crum, a master’s-level mental health counselor at Northeast Health Services in Dedham. My experience is in working with children, teens, and adults in school-based and outpatient settings. I specialize in supporting anxiety, depression, stress, and big emotions. My approach is collaborative, strength-based, trauma-informed, and holistic, drawing on experiential approaches. I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and respected as a whole person. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on and build practical tools to support your goals.

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic, mind-body practices, I help you build coping skills to reconnect with a sense of safety within yourself. We will explore thoughts and feelings in a grounded way to increase self-understanding and compassion, strengthen relationships, and support, flexibility, presence, and resilience in daily life.

I believe that each of us has inherent worth and dignity and that sometimes our experiences in life make it difficult to acknowledge this truth. When that happens, the bravest thing you can do is ask for help. I look forward to journeying with you toward healing and wellness.
