Ariadni Kertsikof, MHC

Most of my counseling experience thus far has been with adolescents and young adults, and women/non-binary folks in particular. I have mostly assisted individuals experiencing social and generalized anxiety, depression, suicidality, loneliness, familial and interpersonal conflicts and feelings of overwhelm related to transitions. I’m looking forward to working with anyone! We will work particularly well together if you see yourself as e deep and analytical/intellectual thinker, explicitly strive to be truer to yourself as you move through life, and if you are experiencing a sense of foreignness or dislocation in the US or in Boston.

Core distinguishing strengths of my approach:
1. Flexible degree of structure and directiveness during the session. I can mostly lead, mostly follow, and
anything in between.
2. Movement between big-picture thinking and concrete changes.
3. Focus not only on what you tell me about yourself, but also on what I learn about you through our
shared experience.

Some media I’ve consumed and loved (by no means recommend all to everyone!)
Movies: Poor Things (2023), Call Me by Your Name (2017), Great Expectations (1998)
Books: Interpreter of Maladies – Jhumpa Lahiri, Exit West – Mohsin Hamid, The Vegetarian – Han Kang
(fiction), The Center Cannot Hold – Elyn Saks (memoir)
