Wanda Robinson, LADAC 1, LCSW-RI

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My ideal client is someone struggling with addiction and mental health disorders, seeking support to overcome their challenges. They are motivated to stop substance use and gain a deeper understanding of how depression, trauma, and anxiety contribute to their continued struggles. Their needs often include integrated mental health and addiction services, addressing both issues simultaneously. This client’s goals are clear: achieving long-term recovery, engaging in therapy, developing coping skills for both conditions, accessing necessary medications, and rebuilding a stable, fulfilling life. Ultimately, they strive to reconnect with their family and children, creating a healthier future for themselves and their loved ones.

In order to help I would begin by assessing the extent of both use and mental health d/o by initiating the PHQ9 Assessment, Substance Use Assessment, ACE and GAD7 assessment. Through this process I can assist clients make person centered decision about their care and develop a therapeutic relationship. Due to my long experiences in both Mental Health and SUD I can offer empathy, support as well as a courage to follow through with their goals with initiating a better sense of understanding of their issues and allowing clients in directing their care through CBT, TFT, DBT , Psycho-therapy, Psycho-education, MI and MET.

That I have a personal connection with both SUD and Mental Health experiences. I would also like clients to know that I have extensive work in the field. I am personable, funny, honest, compassionate, caring and believe that they can live a healthy life and sustain their recovery in both arenas. In addition that they are the directors in their lives with control over the direction they want to take going forward.
