Clinical Mental Health Counselor
My ideal client is someone from adolescence and older. Their needs regard issues with depression, anxiety, SU, and issues navigating reality vs. the struggle of technological ages causing sociopolitical issues through Social Media. I’m looking to work with people who want to have an opportunity to think more critically about their experiences and challenge themselves to think more outside of their individualistic perspective of life. I believe younger people need the opportunity to be able to have a space to process outside of their experiences of being parented, being taught in schools, and learning executively through the internet.
Majority of my work is Trauma-Focused. I have experience with expressive arts therapies and am able to offer services in CBT, DBT, Feminist Therapy, Affirmative Therapy, and more Rogerian practices.
My patients should know that I am working with them, never against them or from a position of privilege of “all knowing”. My goal is in therapy is to aid in supporting their thoughts, feelings, and understandings of how they exist in the world we live in now. I am an open, receptive, constantly learning, and an evolving person who wants to show other individuals that it is okay to also be learning, imperfect, and sensitivity the depths of what life and reality is right now. I try my best to show up and I just hope my clients try equitably to meet me where they are at without any hindrances, previous assumptions, and with consideration that everyone involved in therapy is human first.
