I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing in a private practice setting since 2013. Prior to that, I have had experience working in a psychiatric hospital and providing in-home counseling to at-risk youth. In my practice, I take an eclectic approach that utilizes components of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psycho-education and trauma-informed care. I am a trained trauma therapist and I am working on certificates in both Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I believe that it is important to provide clients with a supportive and non-judgmental environment where they can present their struggles in a way that promotes processing and healing. I am always furthering my training and my skill set; therefore, I feel that the collaborative approach offered at InterCare is a good fit.
