Masters Clinical Mental Health Counselor
My experience has been working with children and teenagers with educational disabilities and behavioral challenges. I’m earning a specialization in sex therapy and furthering research around female and queer sexual experiences and health. I have knowledge and experience working with couples and families, and I am striving to expand my work to help those with intimacy issues or who are struggling with sexual trauma. I aim to create and offer a safe space for those speaking about their most vulnerable experiences and build off of them to accept their body and sexual energy.
I’m passionate about working with those who want to expand their knowledge and acceptance of their sexual health, the LGBTQIA+ population, couples, families, and those looking for an open space to identify their strengths and gain more positive independence and internal empowerment. Currently, I offer a welcoming environment to those new to therapy or who need a change of pace. Building the therapeutic relationship is my first priority to expand the attention to goals and other therapies. My therapy types involve a lot of talk therapy and some CBT and mindfulness-based exercises. While these are my best practices the therapy space is not limited to these types.
Therapy is an unknown experience, but I offer space for safety and opportunity. The client is in the driver’s seat in sessions, and I am there to help navigate the stressful or possibly overwhelming directions. Therapy is a journey that doesn’t have to be taken alone.
