Briana Jurrema, LPC

Briana Jurrema is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She previously served as a crisis response counselor in Texas and as a counselor in a community mental health center in Kentucky. Briana uses a collaborative, strengths-based approach and is committed to helping clients of diverse backgrounds and identities feel comfortable in therapy.

Briana helps clients address concerns related to trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and self-esteem. In addition, she helps with stress management, career changes, interpersonal communication, behavioral challenges with children, and adjustment to changes in life. Briana utilizes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to promote change. She also provides trauma-specific services including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, and cognitive processing therapy.

Briana is originally from Columbus, Indiana. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Psychology from Franklin College. She obtained her Master of Science in Education – Counseling Psychology degree and Education Specialist in Counseling degree from University of Kentucky. Briana enjoys traveling, hiking, and re-watching episodes of the Great British Baking Show. She also loves spending time with friends, family and her pets.
