These treatments are provided by trained providers and used alongside ongoing therapy or psychiatric care. Interventional psychiatry can offer hope for people who have been struggling with depression for years, giving them access to treatments that work differently than traditional medications. #### What is TMS? [Transcranial magnetic stimulation](https://nehs.transformationsnetwork.com/tms/) is a non-drug treatment for major depressive disorder using focused magnetic pulses to stimulate underactive areas of the brain that affect mood. TMS is FDA-cleared and provided in select NEHS clinics by trained providers. It may be an option when antidepressant medications have not led to meaningful improvement. Sessions take place in-clinic, and you can resume daily activities afterward. _83% of patients who have received Neurostar TMS treatment experience an improvement in the severity of their depression symptoms._ #### What is Spravato? [Spravato®](https://nehs.transformationsnetwork.com/spravato-treatment/) (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray treatment for adults with difficult-to-treat depression. It is used alongside an oral antidepressant and administered in-clinic under medical supervision.
